Band Box Jockey

Saxophonist / flutist, guitarist-singer, pianist, programmer of computer music and lounge DJ, “Band Box Jockey” SAM has worked for more than 30 years thru Europe, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Singapore, Florida, Caribbean, Ibiza, Quebec, India, California… in extremely different contexts

BBJ SAM currently performs this hybrid musical formula from his Lounge Music DJ experience ( St Bart, Sx Maarten, Ibiza…) and his jazz/folk/classical/variety background as professional musician
Re – mixing constantly his LIVE recordings’ original compositions ( from workshops, JAM sessions, performances…) BBJ’s music never end to evolve with the contexts he passes through: private, clubs, theatres, festivals…

 

THE MULTI-CREATIVE EVENTS:

Inspired by the « musical creations for all » workshops (see Music Therapy & Wellness page), these “SAM JAM” are focused initially on meetings between artists from various backgrounds: musicians, poets, storytellers, dancers, sculptors, painters, video artists, etc…) each participant also fits as a potential help for others and earns a range of ressources for his own proposal.These evenings have subsequently integrated local socio-cultural life actors who wanted to share their passions, productions and projects in the media of art, but also of cultural, social, communication, care…These personalities are invited to take the floor between artistic performances, audio + video recordings being made and then made available to the participants on the internet, that can serve as support of promotion for future projects.These transversal meetings are an opportunity to link social, cultural, spiritual, and intergenerational reaffirming our humanity as we used to celebrate around the fire…
